FindCouch.com in Orem
(Editors Note: Since I first wrote this post I have received some comments from customers that suggests FindCouch.com isn’t a good business to work with. Although the couches I saw in their show room looked nice it seems that the work doesn’t live up to the hype and that their customer service is nothing to brag about. I would suggest going to another store to purchase a couch. It seems like a good business model, but it isn’t worth the low prices if your couch falls apart.)
I got a flier a few weeks ago for FindCouch.com and have been interested in the idea behind the store ever since. I went into the store today and am super excited about it now! Here is the lowdown–they have a ton of couch/chair/love seat styles to choose from and hundreds of colors and mediums including the super nice leather, a leather match (which means nice leather on the most used parts and vinyl on the rest) and micro fiber. So if you are in the market for some new seating, you can go in and pick out EXACTLY what you want. It is like ordering custom furniture, but without the sky high prices. Their manufacturer is in China, so it comes literally on “the slow boat from China” (8-10 weeks) but you don’t have to worry about shopping in a ton of stores to find what you want. Their site shows some prices (that look really good) but for some of their more modern pieces you have to go in to see what is available. I’m kinda proud of this little store that started right here in Utah. It is now expanding to other markets, so California, Idaho and Nevada get excited.
I personally am interested in this one. He said is is $680 for microfiber and $760 for leather match. Not bad!

Their Preston Collection, that has three pieces starting at $900, isn’t too bad though!

My wife and I took your advice - we purchased a leather sofa and love seat from the Orem store. Shortly thereafter we suspected that the “leather” was actually part vinyl and one of the nail heads came off. We called to have the problem addressed and were not successful. We then went into the store - it is closed, with no forwarding info. Today, the frame broke - what do we do?
Oh, goodness! I am so sorry! It is good to know that although this business model looked like a good one, it wasn’t. I do know that there is a FindCouch in Salt Lake City near 3300 South. Their website findcouch.com lists the phone numbers to that store as (801)977-8888 and (801)975-6594. If they don’t help you out I would suggest reporting them to the Better Business Bureau. Again thanks for letting me know this is not a good business to work with. I’ll make a note in my post so others don’t get into the same trouble you are in.
Tricia, not all people who bought from FindCouch have troubles. I bought my Sofa Set last year from them and up to now my set it in good condition. It is just an isolated case. Every businesses have problems and I don’t think all people who bought from Findcouch have troubles.
I’m glad to hear you have had a good experience. I have actually received two e-mails from others who didn’t. It really surprised me to hear so many negative responses in a short amount of time. After I heard from a few people I did a little searching on the internet and found one more bad experience. http://whenwilltheyeverhavekids.blogspot.com/2007/08/time-to-move.html. This is when I decided to put in my editor’s note. However, it is always good to hear when people have good testimonials.
I noticed from the first comment that Ron bought his from the Orem store (And I think you said the one you saw was in Salt Lake). I found-out that Find Couch is something like a franchise (so the different locations are owned and ran by different companies.) Maybe that explains why some have a good experience and others not so much?
I worked for Findcouch for 3 months. The man I worked for owned all the Findcouch companies in Utah and was trying to get people to buy franchises but he owned the Salt Lake store as well as the Orem store!
