The Owl Trend

Owls are everywhere! Well, it seems that way. It all started when my husband bought me this necklace from etsy for Christmas. (I picked it out, therefore I love it.)
I’ve been seeing owls all over the place since then.
On Decor8. A supper cute umbrella stand. Too bad I don’t own any umbrellas:

hi there!!! back in elementary school in the late 70’s-early 80’s, i had a canvas backpack with an owl on it. i thought it was the cutest thing ever!!! and to tell you the truth, i guess the backpack was pretty “old-fashioned” cuz it had to straps that your arms went through, and the bag just sat on your back. but there was no flap or anything to “close” it up. you put your bags in there and if you weren’t paying attention anyone could put things in or take things out of your backpack. do you remember those backpacks??? they were beige canvas and would have like an ironed on colorful design (mine was the owl).
i miss that little old bag soo much. the owl was really colorful and cute. very hippie looking.
it bothers me how things become so hip and famous. for example, on lookbook.nu there is this necklace from forever21 that everyone is wearing in there pictures now. thing is i have had that exact necklace for a year and a half. ive been a fan of owls since i was 10 and i am 21 now.
and now anything with an octopus is getting popular. i hate it.
i hate things get ruined by fads.
