My husband and I have gone to the Salt Lake Parade of Homes for the past two years. I love going, but it isn’t for everyone. I go and think, “Oh, I like how this room is laid out.” Or “That’s an interesting way to hang curtains.” However, my mom told me that she went once and was sad because she just saw beautiful homes that she will never have. (And I would say that 99% of us will never have these homes because they are the best of the best–therefore, they are super pricey!)

So you have to decide what kind of person you are before going to the Parade of Homes. Are you looking for good, unique ideas? Or will the parade just make you mad at the not-so-perfect home you live in now. If you are the first type then you need to go to the Parade of Homes. Utah County’s Parade is happening right now through June 14. The Salt Lake Parade is happening August 1-16. So go buy your tickets and get some new interior design ideas, plan out your dream house, and get excited about making your home beautiful!
